- Real-time telemetry in the palm of your hand
- Works with iPhone®, iPod touch® and iPad® mobile digital devices
- All your telemetry info in one display
- Lets a buddy monitor telemetry while you fly
- Alerts you when values exceed limits you define
STi? (Spektrum? Telemetry Interface) iTelemetry lets you transmit vital information from your model?s onboard Spektrum telemetry module to your iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch® mobile digital device. It can also be programmed to alert you when any telemetry value you are monitoring exceeds limits you define. It?s a great way to let a flying buddy watch model functions for you, so you can focus more on flying and less on your transmitter display.
The STi unit is compatible with all DSM2®/DSMX® Spektrum and JR® transmitters, as long as long as the transmitter bound to a telemetry module.
The steps to update the STi app to the newest version are the following:
1. In your main iPhone®/iPod touch®/iPad® mobile digital device screen, go to the App Store.
2. On the bottom, select the tab "Updates"
3. Scroll and click on Spektrum STi.
4. Click on update, located in the upper right corner
V3 updated features include:
? New interface
? New way to navigate through the app
? GPS support
? Map layout for GPS recorded data
? Share your recorded files through email with friends
? Open files recorded on DX18
Spektrum? telemetry technology makes it possible for you to get real-time information on your model's battery voltage, motor rpm, motor temperature and more. Many Spektrum transmitters feature built-in telemetry data receivers that let you view this information on their LCD screens. You also have the option of monitoring telemetry using the Spektrum STi? app for the Apple® iPad®, iPhone® or iPod touch® mobile digital device.
The Spektrum brand is releasing new telemetry sensors and accessories all the time. To give you a feel for what a difference Spektrum telemetry can make, here are some of the most commonly used telemetry features most Spektrum users take advantage of:
The Spektrum STi? Telemetry Interface for iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch® mobile digital devices
The STi unit lets you transmit vital info from your model?s onboard Spektrum telemetry module directly to your iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch® mobile digital device.* It can also be programmed to alert you when any telemetry value you?re monitoring exceeds limits you define. It?s a great way to keep tabs on your model if you?re flying with a DSM2®/DSMX® Spektrum or JR®/DSM® transmitter that doesn?t have built-in telemetry. Even with a telemetry-capable transmitter, you can use it to let someone else watch telemetry, so you can focus completely on flying.
*Requires the free STi app. Works with iPad®, iPad® 2, iPod touch® (4th gen), iPhone® 4S, iPhone® 4, iPhone® 3GS, iPhone® 3G.
Never again will you have to wonder whether or not you have enough voltage to keep flying. Being able to monitor voltage will also help you detect a worn out battery pack before it prematurely ends your flight. The telemetry module is plugged into the receiver and will automatically relay receiver voltage. A separate sensor for tracking flight pack battery voltage in electric aircraft is also available.
Is the engine running too lean? Is there enough air flow reaching an electric motor? Is my battery getting too hot? Get real-time answers and take action well before damage occurs.
Spektrum telemetry modules keep tabs on the quality of the signal coming to the receiver and send this information back to the transmitter where it is represented on the LCD screen.
Pilots can use the rpm telemetry data to check the effectiveness of new mixture settings, new battery packs or perhaps a new propeller/motor combination.
You can now experience the advantage of real-time telemetry via several compatible transmitters.
